Jimmy is a seasoned safety and risk management professional with global business management experience. He is known for his authentic leadership style which motivates the JVAT team to focus on delivering quality outcomes that drive innovation and inspire confidence.

Jimmy builds strong business relationships by relating business outcomes to successful risk and assurance activities, balancing stakeholders, delivery and governance. James is an accomplished leader, management consultant and facilitator who specialises in governance structures, management systems, project management, technical engineering consulting, training and risk.

He has a unique ability to identify underlying business challenges through technical, project and enterprise expertise. James designs and creates efficiencies, implementing systematic frameworks to structures and processes. He’s known for his big picture thinking and ability to translate business strategy into detailed operational plans that add value for clients.

Paul Graham

Director - United States

Paul is an experienced risk management, safety and security consultant with extensive capability in business process re-engineering, business continuity planning, management system development, and audit and assurance program development.

A former Australian Army Infantry Officer, Paul is the Director of JVAT Americas and lead facilitator for JVAT’s Resilience & Wellbeing Program, which has been delivered to over 500 participants.

Paul is a keen student of yoga, neurology, stoicism and mindfulness. He has developed three yoga schools, trained over 200 yoga instructors in the USA, Australia and Mexico and is a founding partner of Source Meditation.

Chris is a highly skilled, results-oriented leader with significant experience in System Safety, consultation, personnel management, contract negotiations and program management.

Chris is regarded as an exceptional communicator with dynamic organisational skills and excellent time management. He has a knack for independently multitasking and delivering demanding operations under strict schedules.

Chris specialises in focussing on the problem in its most basic form—removing the noise—to find the logical solution. His clients have been continually impressed with his trustworthiness and collaborative nature.

I am driven by the dynamic nature of my consulting work. I love to strip back problems to their core and find, develop and implement the future-proofed solution.

Henry Gardner

Associate Director

Henry is an accomplished leader with 14 years’ experience in the Aerospace, Defence and Space industries.

Driven to achieve outcome-based results, he has an impeccable reputation for building and leading high performing multi-functional teams using his in-depth knowledge of engineering and program management, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate.

Henry has a Masters in Aeronautical Engineering and a wealth of experience in running large, complex programs for clients as well as defining and implementing business-wide strategies including transformation programs. While responsible for defining and implementing the strategy for a declining $60m business as Product Director, he was able to lead a successful turnaround, achieving a $74m business with a sustained 12% Compound Annual Growth Rate.

Andy Wood

Associate Director

Andy is an astute, accomplished and pragmatic safety-focused engineer and manager with over 30 years’ experience of delivery in both Defence and Civil Aerospace sectors. He specialises in System Safety, risk management, quality assurance, airworthiness, project management and technical support roles.

Andy has an exemplary track record of leading and motivating teams, producing innovative and effective results within fixed, regulatory and financial constraints. He consistently delivers high quality, innovative solutions while managing safety-critical projects within Defence and Industry.

Diplomatic communication skills and a keen eye for detail ensure Andy brings a unique perspective to JVAT’s risk and assurance solutions.

Delivering pragmatic and quality solutions which not only meet but exceed the client’s needs, is what drives me.

People & Culture Manager

Veronique has over 10 years' experience as an HR professional working in large organisations within various industries, such as legal, telecommunications, construction and manufacturing. Her areas of specialisation include Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Succession Planning, Performance Management, Organisational Development, Learning & Development, Workforce Planning, and Health & Wellbeing.

Veronique is passionate about driving organisational excellence and thrives on developing and executing strategy in complex and challenging environments. She believes in striving for business results through a positive, high performing and engaged workforce.

As a manager, she leads by example and works to deliver a team culture with a growth mindset that is open, dynamic, performance orientated and collaborative. Veronique believes that “remaining positive and surrounding oneself with an outcome-focused team that thrives on continually learning and growing is the key to success.”

Darren O'Brien

Operations Manager

Darren is an operations professional with over 15 years’ experience in making operational teams efficient and embedding operational excellence. He is known for his collaborative and motivating leadership style, as he takes people on a journey when implementing change.

Darren uses data to report on business performance with clear communication. He believes that consistent processes coupled with strong change management practices help identify operational efficiencies and embed sustainable change. He is also passionate about people's development through cultivating a coaching environment and building high performing teams.
